However, as a caregiver you have to be willing to put aside any negative emotions that may cloud your judgment. You are also required to learn how to be empathetic, without getting too attached. This will ensure that all the decisions you may are based on facts and not on your emotions.

You also need have the skills to deliver information without scaring them. You can read medical journals and attend seminars and workshops. These will ensure that your skills stay sharp, and you know about new developments in your field.
