It also works to reduce developing any heart disease or cancer as it buffers the damage that one sustains from free radicals. Calories in avocado might be higher than most are accustomed to. But it is certainly worth all the health benefits to add it to ones regular diet. In fact it could be appropriate to say that "an avocado a day helps keep illness at bay".
