Cinnamon Diabetes

Cinnamon has been in use since 2000 BCE in Egypt as a spice for dishes and in herbal remedies. Recent studies of cinnamon have shown that it has the potential to prevent and control type II diabetes, hamper the proliferation of cancer cells, relieve symptoms associated with arthritis, lower blood LDL cholesterol, as well as being an excellent source of dietary iron, calcium, fiber and manganese. For this article, cinnamon diabetes is the focus.

The type of diabetes treatment prescribed by a physician depends greatly on the type that one has. People that have Type 1 diabetes have to take insulin because their bodies do not produce enough of it. Those who Type 2 diabetes have to take medications that lower blood sugar called oral hypoglycemics, but they may or many not have to take insulin. Women that develop diabetes during their pregnancy usually have to take anti-diabetic drugs along with insulin for their diabetes treatment.

There are two main types of carbohydrates: simple and complex. A simple carbohydrate is the sugars like glucose, sucrose, lactose, and fructose. These type of carbohydrates are usually found in all kinds of fruits. A complex carbohydrate is the starches. The starches are the simple carbohydrates bonded together chemically. They are found in beans, nuts, vegetables, and whole grains. These are the more healthy than simple carbohydrates because they can be digested slowly with diabetes 2 diet.

There are no specific symptoms and if they show up they are similar to those of type 2 diabetes, which are; feeling hungry and thirsty all the time, frequent urination, cuts and bruises taking long to heel and skin infection which keeps recurring.To prevent this condition from worsening or maturing to type 2 diabetes you can put yourself into a serious diet which is considered to as pre diabetes diet, let all the vegetables and fruits be your favorites, avoid simple carbohydrates like; white rice, honey or sugar from this pre diabetes diet because they will lead you to food craving which results to weight gain.

Cinnamon diabetes has proven to be advantageous when added to the treatment of type II diabetics. Studies of cinnamon diabetes, has shown cinnamon to possess an insulin-like effect on blood glucose levels. These findings have been documented by the Mayo Clinic as well as the University of California, Santa Barbara.

A natural diabetes cure is the same type of diet that is recommended for everyone. It is highly recommended to limit or completely eliminate simple carbohydrates from your diet. Eat complex carbohydrates because it takes a while for the body to break them down and will less likely cause your body to spike. Make sure you eat plenty of fruits and vegetables in order to get good nutrients for your body. The best type of diabetes cure is prevention.
