The Uses Of A Freehand Brace

By Eliza Mendoza

A freehand brace is a little fragment of either textile or rubber. It is dressed on the hands around places which engage in movements. These movements could be like writing, typing or adjusting. They help to position various parts to the hand as well as support them. They have a tube like appearance and are elastic.

These pieces of rubber come in different sizes. The piece that is worn around the elbow is not the same as that which is worn around the thumb. People have different arm sizes and hence this is put to consideration. They also come in an array of colors but most people like the ones that are dull in color.

The exercise of manufacturing is done in a step wise manner. The fabric to be used is first assembled. Most times, it is purchased from fabric making companies. This is cheaper as compared from buying from retail or wholesale traders. For the case of cotton it is purchased from cotton gins. The textile to be used is analyzed and confirmed to be authentic and of good quality.

After all this, the rubber is sliced into smaller sizes. The sizes depend on where the in fit will be worn. The smallest in fit are those that are purposed to be worn around the fingers. The slicing is done by machines that run on specified programs. The fixation part follows after this. The two edges of the chopped rubber are stuck using some glue. Slight melting is then done on the stuck places.

The melting is to offer strong attachment to the two edges. The melting is done by slight exposure to a regulated flame. The raw in fits are died. Basic colors are added to improve their outward appearance. They are then packed into cartons they are later sold to retail and wholesale sellers.

Theses hand fits have several advantages to their bearers. They help to ease activities done by the specific part of the hand. A good example is the finger fit. Finger fits help to ease the activity f typing dine by people. They help reduce friction. They are also used by guitar players. They in the same way reduce friction that may be experienced during the playing of the instrument.

They have several demerits. They easily get worn out. This is especially for people who participate in rigid activities such a playing guitars and pianos. A musician may therefore require many pieces. They are quite restrictive especially for people who have are not used to them. Rigid in fits could alter the performance of a certain activity for example writing.

Freehand Brace is being manufactured for many reasons. Their great application has led to their high demand. Some of the reasons include medical recommendations, application I sports and music and moreover in office use. In offices, they are used by secretaries who do a lot of typing.
