Cheap Exercise Equipment That Works

By John Makers

Often times we want to get into exercising without signing up for a gym membership. This can be expensive, but what else can you do? Well luckily you can get some cheap exercise equipment for home use that will still allow you to get a solid workout without all the expense.

For the purposes of this article we are going to consider cheap exercise equipment that you can buy for under $50. With just fifty bucks, there are some great beginner items that can get you on the path to getting in (or staying in) shape. So whether you are wanting to lose weight, tone up, build muscle, or just improve your overall physical condition, using the products below combined with our recommended exercises will help you achieve a simple, fun, and effective full body workout.

The first product on our cheap exercise equipment list is the kettlebell. Kettlebells come in a variety of different weights so depending how strong you are you will need to adjust accordingly. There are a few basic exercises you should learn to master before moving on to any advanced routines. The kettlebell swing is a great overall movement for increasing strength for the entire posterior of your body. The posterior being the back of the neck, back muscles, glutes, and back of your thighs and calves. It's one of most simple, yet effective exercises for gaining strength.

For those more focused on gaining muscle, there are 2 products we recommend that compliment each other perfectly. That is a set of the perfect pushup handles and a iron gym pullup bar. These together get you everything you need for a FANTASTIC home upper body workout. You can really get ripped just using these two products and just your body weight. To round out your resistance training, just add in some air squats and lunges and you can achieve 90% of what you could get from an entire weight room.

Learn to perform some cardiovascular training as well to help achieve a well rounded workout routine in conjunction with the products mentioned here. We prefer some simple interval training but any good cardio will help you improve your endurance and stamina and will pair well with full body resistance training.

Another one of the more effective all around pieces of cheap exercise equipment would be a good set of resistance bands. Now a set of resistance bands won't get you the same results in terms of weight training as the pushup or pullup combo mentioned above, but it is a great overall workout for developing some good muscle tone and strength. They are perfectly paired with a form of cardio training like walking, jogging, swimming, or whatever other moderate cardio you enjoy most. This is a good regimen if you are just looking to shape up a bit and will give you a great overall level of physical fitness.
