You also need to have shoulder pads in order to protect your shoulder bones from impact. Since it is usual for participants in the sport to experience regular falling and colliding with other players, there will always be the tendency that the shoulders are the first to get injured. Most of the time, you will need to have them fitted and customized to your body size.

Elbow pads that are of good quality is important as well. You will need to choose those of your right size in order to prevent them from slipping off. Some players have their elbow pads properly fitted or customized by a professional. The grip on your arms should not be too tight as well. If so, this can restrict the flow of your blood to your arms which can affect your grip on your stick.

You also need to choose a stick that you are most comfortable with. Most of the time, a player's preferences will determine the kind of stick that they use. You will need to carefully choose this since it will help determine the force of the swing that you will make. Make sure they are durable to withstand impact as well.

Players usually choose based on what they can afford. There are some that are picky with the kind of material they can use. For better convenience, consult with the coach about the type of gears that can be appropriate for you.

Choosing the appropriate ones will be necessary in order to enhance your skills with the sport most of which will depend on your preferences.
