A year ago around Christmas time I was surprised to see one of my friends purchase me a set of kettlebells for a gift. I also got a few books about kettlebell training and a few workout videos. It is my hope to make the best use out of this gift to get me in shape. And you never know, maybe I can use these kettlebells to recommend them to my friends.
Why are kettlebells such a good tool for exercising? First of all, kettlebells help you use muscles that you normally wouldn't. The deep muscle work that you can get from using kettlebells cannot be achieved by most other mainstream forms of workouts. Yoga, Pilates, and aerobics all wither in contrast to kettlebell exercises and the deep muscle/tendon work.
It should be noted that kettlebell workouts are among the few exercises that give the ability of an afterburn effect. What the afterburn effect does is make your body continue to burn fat even after you are done with your workout. This effect can last at most 48 hours, this makes kettlebell training an effective exercise for you since it gives you many great benefits from using it.
Kettlebells are also incredibly convenient to use. I kept mine in my family room at home so that I could exercise when I got home from work or on the weekends. I discovered that because of the moderately short workout time necessary with them, that having an alternative set of kettlebells at the office was one of the wisest expenses that I've made to date.
My pals, who knew my want to get healthier but also realizing how busy I am made the best decision in getting me a complete kettlebell training plan. The videos, coupled with the kettlebells themselves, have helped to start me on my way to the best shape of my lifetime. I even took those before images to have evidence of what I looked like. I can't wait because in two months of diligently working out, I'm hoping the after pictures will be delightful.
